Friday Figures-strike a good attitude when all else fails

My drawing today was not exceptional, although our model was excellent, with a long, lanky body and dark, tousled hair capping the shaved sides of her head. The oil sketch started off well enough. Then, with ten minutes left in the pose, it fell off the easel and landed face-down in a gooey pit of cheesecake (translation: I overworked it into a mess). It happens. If it can be fished out and cleaned off, I’ll post it as a teachable moment. Or maybe I won’t. In the meantime, I’m delighted I got one good drawing today, and glad I can share it with you.

Happy Friday.
