Bring in the Eagle

I believe this poor bird is done, as in, to a crisp. It was a force that couldn’t be controlled. So what we have here is a wild inner demon going off on a limb, a mad bird of prey breaking away from a tropical net of chaos and dismay.

It makes me feel much closer to the Victorians, not to mention Terry Gilliam.

This began as a painting of a harpy eagle and turned into a cry for help. If art can be a diagnostic tool for psychiatric conditions, this one points to obsessive compulsive disorder and graphomania. Enjoy!
