There is nothing to compare with the feeling of waking up in your own bed after a long journey.
What woke me was a roar like a tropical downpour: the furnace switching on. On cracking open my eyes, I saw pale light through white fabric, which I mistook for my Amazon mosquito-net cocoon: the pale winter sun through sheer curtains. When the cat raised her head and gave me a green-eyed stare I knew where I was. Home.

I’m glad to be back, and what a brilliant place to return from. The most incredible place I’ve ever been to, and many many stories to come. Forgive me if I leave you with just a few images here for now. I’ll be back soon with more. Glad you’re back, too.
