Sketch of the Day: Copenhagen Cargo Bike

Kid-Carrier Bike parked at Nyhavn, Copenhagen. You see these bikes all over town; moms and dads peddling their offspring off to daycare or just out for air. Kids roar along with the "top down" in good weather, meaning, unzipped, or if it's raining, zipped all the way up. The kids watch the world come their way through the busiest streets and intersections, in rain, snow, wind or sun.
A typical Copenhagen child-carrier bike. Children in Copenhagen ride out front while Mom or Dad peddle behind. They literally cart them off to child care, through busy streets and intersections, in rain, snow, wind, sleet and sun. This fancy model has a cloth top , soft vinyl zippered window and hard-shell plastic housing, Most carrier bikes are more basic: wooden crates with pillows for comfort and lap-belts for safety. Pencil in Moleskine 5 x 8 sketchbook.
